Si Fu Bob Shores has been teaching Kung-Fu San
Soo since 1980. In 1982, he founded Bob Shores'
Chinese Boxing Academy. In 1986 he wrote the book,
"Kung Fu San Soo from Principle to Technique".
He also appeared on the cover of Greg Jones' book, "Predator
Training: The inner Beast of San Soo" (Published by Paladin
Press). In 1990 Si Fu Shores received his Masters Degree (8th
Degree Black Belt) in Kung-Fu San Soo. Si Fu Shores
was also among the first Americans to train under and be tested
by Wing Chun Grandmaster William Cheung. Si Fu Shores currently
holds a "level 10 instructor grade" in Traditional Wing
Chun system as well as a Black Belt in Kenpo Karate. Si Fu Shores
was inducted into Who's Who in America in 1998 and is recognized
by both the IKFSSA (International Kung-Fu San Soo Association)
and the WWCKFA (World Wing Chun Kung-Fu Association).
In October of 2003 Si Fu Shores took a Security
position with Seven Feathers Hotel and Casino Resort. Seven months
later he was asked to join the Surveillance Department of the
Cow Creek Gaming and Regulatory Commission. Si Fu Shores then
made the decision to quit teaching full time and began a carreer
as a Surveillance Operator. Subsequently in September of 2004
the Diamond Lake Blvd. School in Roseburg was closed and moved
to Sifu Shores home. BSCBA is still alive and well, it just took
on a new look. Sifu Shores now teaches part time and has a challenging
and rewarding carreer with the CCGRC as well. Even though the
school is considerably smaller now, the quality of instruction
and level of excitement have actually risen. This is attributed
to the greater individual attention afforded in a smaller class
setting. Couple this fact with the peace Si Fu Shores feels and
there is a clear indication that he made the right decision.
